Welcome to the TAA

Welcome to the blog for news and information about the Tracy Airport Association (TAA) and the Tracy Municipal (TCY) and New Jerusalem Airports (1Q4). The Tracy Airport Association is a nonprofit public-benefit California Corporation and a local chapter of the California Pilot's Association (CPA).

We are a community of friends, family, pilots, aviation enthusiasts and advocates joining together to support our local airports. Tracy Airport and New Jerusalem Airport, offer many unique opportunities for our community, businesses, commercial pilots, private and recreational pilots.

The airport offers unique history through the years, being used as a military training site for WWII pilots. During the 70's, Tracy airport was a bustling hub of businesses, pilots, aviators and plane owners.

Small public airfields are a community resource for you. For those of us who use these airports and are interested in aviation, we have a duty to give our time and money to preserve the airport and keep aviation alive in Tracy for generations to come. Volunteering for the TAA is civic duty and community service. Make a lasting difference for your community. Please join us and join the TAA today. TAA Membership dues and donations are tax deductible. Print a Membership application from the Become a Member page and send it in today! Hope to see you at the airport soon.

Take a look around the site, photos, calendar of events, current news and headlines for our airport...

Thanks...your support is appreciated,
Tracy Airport Association .

Marty Hamilton is serving the TAA as the current Vice President and I want to say thanks for taking the leadership role in creating this worthy tool so that we can allow free flowing thoughts on how we as a group can become more effective.

Hi, my name is Tom Reed. I have been a TAA member for the last couple of years.
Each year we powered parachute group have a (we can’t call it a fly-in) gathering.
We have a competition where we drop water balloons at a target, roll tennis balls at wooden ships, cut a paper ribbon with our aircrafts and a spot landing. Last year we were fortunate to be invited to have this gathering at the Tracy airport. This will be our fifth year and if we are invited back at Tracy airport again we wish to invite all of you. Bring your family and friends; there will be free food and soft drinks. We can always use volunteers to help in the judging of the competition.
The Gathering this year will be held on Saturday August 15th from 7am to 12 noon.
Hopefully it will be again at the Tracy airport.
Thanks
Tom Reed
