Our January board meeting was extremely productive. 2009 is going to be a very exciting year.

One of the TAA's current tasks is to educate and inform the community via newspaper, newsletters, and word of mouth of some of the positive and fun events that will be taking place at the Tracy Airport during 2009 and beyond.

One particular task that is in the works is a change in aircraft traffic patterns so local residential neighborhoods will have even less noise due to an even quieter approach path. It has been proven that there is no current noise problem however. Skyview Aviation is heading this effort in the spirit of pleasing all of our community!

We are thrilled to announce that Skyview Aviation is on track to be flying 300 operations a day in the near future as well as having it's own flight school 141 certified. Skyview Aviation will develop a manufacturing line for single engine airplanes which will add more skilled jobs to our city and will be bringing in more revenue for the city via increased fuel sales. Take a peek at Skyview Aviations' enhanced website at www.SkyviewAviation.com and don't forget to put it into your list of favorite websites!

Be sure to visit our media links provided in the heading of this simple newsletter and interact with us as well as encourage your friends, family, and neighbors to get involved in local aviation and join us in this fun club of the Tracy Airport Association!

The TAA is planning to make attractive 'T' shirts with the Tracy Airport Association logo embossed and possibly one of our web media sites added too. Don't forget that these shirts will make great gifts.

On April 25th there will be a large public event at the Tracy Airport for all to attend to celebrate the 80th anniversary of our Tracy Airport. On the agenda of exciting events will be a huge static display of many different aircraft, a NASCAR show, live entertainment, a possible aerobatics show, and tons of vendors. Be sure to bring your friends and family and invite your neighbors for this Saturday April 25th event!

Conchita the TAA Treasurer presented the current Treasury Report. Nothing was spent in 2008.

This Months TAA Challenge:
For Every Member To Bring a Friend To Our Feb. 3rd Meeting!! This will be potluck style and held at the Tracy Airport at 6 pm Feb. 3rd.
See you there.

Regards,

Marty Hamilton for the TAA.

Great work, Marty. The blog looks great. I look forward to our airport communications growing and expanding our enthusiasm and love for freedom through aviation and the joy of flight as we share our visions of the future and happenings of the day through this media. Thanks for getting the blog off the ground.

Happy Landings,

Don Gutridge
TAA Secretary

With the Power Parachute achievements and more fun in the future we need to have a video of the month posted where the Blue Angel video is. Keep that video but alternate something like a Power Parachute launch or someone with a cheap video camera in the flight seat taping a takeoff!! Can we do this?

I think last nights meeting went well. There was a good argument when it came to the pattern change. Although we all know it will be left up to the FAA for the final decision. We need to schedule our next meeting as well. So we can get the word out early. Thank you

The Feb. 3rd meeting was a success and I agree with Greg about the final decision for the pattern and frequency changes. Thanks Skyview Aviation for being proactive in the community to make these sort of positive impacts for our residents.
